It was first issued to USAF crews around 1950 and has been a popular choice for aviators worldwide ever since. The real thing is consists of a sage green nylon outer shell with a bright orange inner lining. Between the layers is a polyester fiberfill material that has excellent insulation qualities, which makes this jacket very warm to wear.

Mil-DTL-81188C & MIL-DTL-81188B are Heat & Flame Resistant 700-F used Anti-Static material. Nomex® fire-resistant aviation gloves have been worn by American military aviators since the 1960’s. These Nomex® flight gloves are manufactured to military specification, USAF MIL-Specification and Standards. The palms of these Nomex® pilot gloves are made from soft capeskin or hair sheep to give you delicate sense of touch you need for flying. The back of the pilot gloves are made from a soft fire resistant Nomex® knit fiber that stretch to fit snugly. The aviator gloves remain soft and pliable even after they become wet or are washed in warm water and hand soap.
